Cyndy has been a Fitness Professional since 1983. She is an educator by nature and believes when her clients leave the workouts they should have knowledge to apply to their daily lives and personal sports and activities. Her coaching style enables the athlete to consistently be motivated and achieve success. “You have changed my life” is a common statement from clients who have experienced Cyndy’s philosophy of Fitness as a Lifestyle. She believes that good coaching techniques and high levels of sports performance come from sound fitness practices, and is a pro at generating results with this philosophy.
Cyndy grew up in Texas and moved to Aspen Colorado after college where she worked at the Aspen Club Fitness and Sports Medicine Institute for 9 years as the Fitness Director. Under the tutelage of Dr.s Bruno Balke, Barry Mink and Julie Anthony she acquired the skills to work in the field of Injury Rehab and Prevention of sports. She also received her certification in this field. In addition, she worked with professional skiers, basketball players, tri athletes and tennis pros during her tenure at the Institute developing training and nutrition programs to enhance their overall sports performance. Cyndy’s off season Dry Land Ski Training Program was the favorite of many elite ski racers. While in high school and college Cyndy competed in track and field, cross country track and equestrian events. As an adult in Colorado she took up mountain biking, high altitude running and windsurfing and extreme snow skiing.
Coaching elite athletes or beginners Cyndy is highly motivated to produce the best results possible. Her passion is the teaching aspect of coaching. She has a great talent for getting the athlete to achieve higher goals than they might think possible. With her sports performance and injury prevention background Cyndy is exceptional at preventing injuries and helping to recover from injuries. Her highly motivating style utilizes specific training principals learned and practiced while competing, as well as 20+ years of training at high altitude from some of the best in the business.
She loves to coach folks in the art of running, mountain biking, dry land snow ski training and has developed an amazing cross over program to improve the skills associated with the equestrian disciplines.
While in Aspen she was awarded several distinctions for her outdoor cross training programs as “Best in the Rockies”, and recognized as a national presenter and lecturer in the field of fitness. Cyndy combines the disciplines of Organic Nutrition, Functional Core, Injury Rehab and Prevention, Cross Training, Yoga, Pilates and Stability Ball and fuses those with specific sports protocols to create the best possible coaching results for her clients.
